I have always been so obsessed about having well defined eyebrows. Ever since makeup school, my guru at CAS, Ms. Jen Delica, told me that even by just having well-groomed, well-shaped eyebrows can really make your look. Clients usually ask me if I really need to put product on their eyebrows and my answer is always "of course!".
Having well defined eyebrows will make them look well-groomed which ever angle you are being photographed so it's really crucial in makeup application to have great shaped eyebrows! During your wedding photos (or when you go out on a formal event), you take lots of photos whether by your professional photographer or your friends. Having well shaped brows lift and brightens your face and really makes your makeup look put very well together. Check the 2 photos above, whether you are being photographed frontal or profile, the eyebrows give a lot of character to any look.

Perhaps you love the concept of airbrush but you don't want to pay an awful lot to purchase the tools, equipment, and makeup to achieve the effect. Luckily, you don't have to! We can mimic that flawless airbrush finish by just using what's in your makeup bag.
What you will need: 1. LIQUID FOUNDATION 2. CREAM BLUSH 3. KABUKI BRUSH 4. LOOSE POWDER (TO SET) I made a new discovery... Last January 16, my family was to take me out to lunch for my birthday. I wanted to look really nice but I didn't have any good foundations (yes, I don't have any for myself) that gave full coverage. I always buy tinted moisturizers and Maybelline's BB cream. But this was a special day, I wanted to look really nice on my birthday. So on the morning of my birthday, I rushed to Landmark on a quest to buy the perfect foundation that didn't feel heavy on my skin (since I am not used to wearing lots of makeup). My first stop was L'Oreal. I have seen Jigs Mayuga use True Match foundation so this is the first line that I tried on me. The sales people were really helpful so I didn't have a heard time finding the perfect shade. I am acidic so I had to get a shade that was about half a shade lighter than my real skin color, but same tone. After about trying 2 shades of the True Match, I wasn't happy. So I moved on to trying White Perfect Pearl Foundation. Hmm... I wasn't impressed at first because I thought that it looked too white on me and that the tone was off. So I left the counter with half of my face covered with L'Oreal's White Perfect Pearl foundation in Golden Beige (G3). I didn't bother taking it off because I wanted to see it in natural light. Next stop was Revlon. I have heard a lot of great feedback about Revlon's PhotoReady foundation so I decided to try it out. The sales girl recommended that I try NUDE. But when I applied it, the tone was on the orange side so I looked tan in some way. I wasn't happy. All the other shades were either too ashy or too tan for me so I left the counter feeling a little bit sad... |
