Perhaps you love the concept of airbrush but you don't want to pay an awful lot to purchase the tools, equipment, and makeup to achieve the effect. Luckily, you don't have to! We can mimic that flawless airbrush finish by just using what's in your makeup bag.
What you will need:
1. LIQUID FOUNDATION
2. CREAM BLUSH
3. KABUKI BRUSH
4. LOOSE POWDER (TO SET)
First, dot your liquid foundation on areas you would normally shine first. Your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin.
Spread the foundation using a kabuki brush. Look for a brush that isn't too fluffy. The more firm the brush is, the better. Spread your foundation in circular motions around your face covering your entire face with a thin layer of foundation. By "buffing" the foundation with the Kabuki brush, you will avoid too thick a foundation, hence you will not cake.
If you have another kabuki brush (one that you can use exclusively for blush), dip the tip of the kabuki blush on your pot of cream blush (or stick), just a small amount and dot directly on the apples of your cheeks. Start by blending the blush in circular motions with your kabuki brush. Always blend from the apples of your cheeks working your way up towards your temples. Keep buffing until there are no more visible lines anywhere until it is blended well on your skin.
Apply the same technique as you would when setting your makeup with loose powder.
Dip your kabuki brush in your pot of loose powder and dot your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and buff with your kabuki.
Blend very well until you have powdered all areas of your face.
Practice makes perfect so be patient. It takes time in getting used to this technique but once you have mastered it, you will have an airbrushed look each time!
