For years I have used nothing but Lancome because I carried their brand. And ever since one of my friends exposed me to local brands for their lipsticks, I just had to buy a whole lot and see which were the ones I could use. I was surprised to know that after testing them myself, they lasted LONGER and the colors are more intense! The pigment is absolutely perfect and requires minimal retouching. LOVE IT! Although I still recommend not scrimping on your foundations and blushes because these you will have to take time buying, but you can change your lipsticks as often as you change your underwear. It's the best and quickest way to update your look to match your makeup-mood! Ok ok, I got a really carried away with the lipsticks, but I couldn't help myself. I was out today with my cousins, and one of our favorite pastimes is going to department stores and just try on makeup after makeup until our lips are sore from wiping off lipsticks, and our cheeks red from trying on blush after blush! I decided to look for nice day lipsticks for everyday. One thing about everyday-makeup is that you shouldn't over-do it. Otherwise, your evening makeup will look mundane. Ok, first on the line up, is Careline's Wet Lips Gloss. It glides on like water and doesn't have that sticky feeling like alip gloss. But the effect is EXTREME SHINE! It has flavors too that's why it's yummy! Wet Lips is perfect for women with thin lips. The ultra shine effect it has gives the illusion of a poutier pout. The liquid is colored red so when you use it alone, it gives a little blush on your lips but very subtle. If you use it with your lipstick, it doesn't really mix with the red but makes nude lipsticks a little pinkish. PhP 55.00 Ok, I must say that out of the bunch, this has got to be my favorite yet. Another great find from Ever Bilena's Careline line, is their lipstick in "BUTTERSCOTCH". I just love how it smells sweet but not perfumed. It smells like a lip balm and glides on like one as well. The best thing about it too is that you can layer it. I've tried and tested it and it stayed on until I wiped it off. I like it's old-rose shade. It has a pink-brown hue that is perfect for everyday. It suits most skin tones but best for women with cool skin tones. PhP 100.00 From my previous blog, I purchased a lipstick just like this one (same brand, same line) but a different shade. I liked the other one so much that I wanted to see what other shades they had that was worth purchasing. After I have tried about 3, I found "TANGERINE". It looked a lot like the other lipstick that I previously bought but the effect is a lot different. It's on the coral side (but still has a pink undertone). This is the prefect alternative for women with morena skin who want to wear "hot pink" lipsticks that is hot right now. Remember, you still have to find a shade that is perfect for your skin tone. PhP 88.00 Another lipstick from Ever Bilena's Matte Lipstick line, the shade is called "MAUVEY". I swear, these matte lipsticks are the hardest to come by, specially when you're looking for lipsticks for brides. I was able to test this shade on my cousin that has the most common skin-color and tone with most of my brides, and it too is very nice to combine with other shades. This particular shade has a purple-ish undertone. A pale version of the true mauve color. This is very nude and I don't recommend using alone. You can mix this with shades that you would like to tone down such as bright red lipsticks or hot pink lipsticks. Don't be afraid to mix 'em up! Experiment, and create your own personal trademark lipstick shade. PhP 125.00 This shade I fell in love with. This shade is perfect for brides that have pale skin because it can lift and brighten up the look. This one is from Ever Bilena as well and the name of the shade is "PINK FLAME". Depending on how much you layer on, the lipstick goes darker each time. I tried 2 coats on me and it gives enough color to brighten up your face. You can also top it with a gloss as to soften the finish. Matte is very drying so topping it with gloss softens the whole look. Keeping them dry will make your lips look older.
