My mom and I went to SM Makati today so I can buy a new toner. Of course, I couldn't go to SM without looking around for new products! Mom was in Elianto for a while trying on lipstick after lipstick so I decided to look at their new products. That's when I discovered the BB Balm, and their Natural Mineral Finishing Powder. THE BB Balm It's consistency is not creamy nor is it chalky. It feels like powder when you touch it but it glides on like a primer. They only have one shade too like other BB Creams but this one applies more translucent on the skin so this is what made me buy it. Even though you try to layer it on your skin, you can never end up with too much on your face. For some reason, this is very light on the skin but has great coverage! I photographed myself after using the BB Balm on just one side of my face. As you can see, the left side minimized the appearance of my bags and the balm covered my freckles. I have 2 pimples just beside my lips but it was covered as well. I love that it doesn't smell like makeup. It dries right away and makes your face shine free! Don't mind how white it looks on the picture, I was using bright flash so it made the balm whiter than it really is. It actually dries quite transparent. The Balm comes with a soft sponge that you can use to apply it. The beauty associate at the counter recommends a foundation brush too. But when I tried applying it with a brush, it left line marks on my face so I don't recommend it. This amazing product is PhP 599.00 THE FINISHING POWDER After I applied BB Cream, I set it with my regular face powder and wore it for about an hour. As expected, I oiled on my nose and became shiny. This finishing powder makes retouching really easy. You don't need a whole lot of powder on the velour puff to erase the shine. You just have to dab the puff a few times on the compact and pat on your nose. It eliminates shine right away and it's odorless too! The finish is like brushing on translucent loose powder so it doesn't cake at all. Of course, like any other product you use for retouching, I still recommend using oil blotting paper first to avoid oil transfer on your compact. This product is comparable to MAC's Blot Powder. I love love love it! This is now a staple in my personal kikay kit. PhP 599.00
