After the wedding I did yesterday, I was killing time in the mall and I chanced upon Maybelline's new tinted moisturizer, the B.B Cream. I didn't have any second thoughts to try it since it only comes in 18ml tubes for PhP 200.00. It's the perfect trial-phase size. It only comes in one shade. A shade that promises to suit most skin colors. Now that really intrigued me. I've always had the hard time in looking for the perfect tinted moisturizer since most of them came in peach undertones. It usually turns ashy on my skin, which I hate. I got to test the product today when I went out to meet one of my brides. So, I decided to put the tinted moisturizer to the test. The texture of the product is very creamy. It doesn't run so it feels very much like liquid foundation. The color (when not contacted with skin) is nude, a little on the beige size which is good. I dotted my face on the five common areas to spread foundation (the forehead, chin, both cheeks and nose) and spread the product outward. Spreading with your fingers always works best since the heat from your finger tips will help "melt" and blend the product on your skin. After I spread the product evenly, the result is a little shocking. My face was ghostly white. I gave it about 3 minutes to be absorbed before I set it with my face powder (PRESTIGE Perfectly Matte Translucent Powder in Oatmeal). The end result was a little bit thick. It looked as though I was wearing full-coverage foundation. So, I gave it 5 more minutes to set on my skin, before I applied the rest of my makeup (i.e. eyebrows, cheek blush, and lipstick). By the time I finished my makeup, my base looked a little bit thick but it felt weightless. So I left my house and gave it a test. By the time I got to the mall, it didn't feel like as though I was wearing makeup at all. I glanced at my reflection in a store mirror and I saw that my face looked very natural. I didn't look fully made up! Just very polished and glowing. I loved the effect that the foundation gave to my powder. It evened out my skin and covered most of my freckles. It was the perfect base for such a light powder. It didn't feel greasy and it made my skin look flawless and made it look dewy! It was matte but not dry! After 3 hours, I still looked very fresh and it still felt weightless. My skin didn't look blotchy or red (usually it happens when the makeup is too heavy). Overall, I give this product 2 thumbs up!
