I went to Subic just last weekend. And as we went to Royal Subic, the first thing I searched for were their imported cosmetics. I wanted to see what products they had from Korea and China just so I can test them. Royal Subic has a lot of brands which you can't find here in Manila so I got 2 products to review. First product is LOHASHILL Nature & Intense Distillate, Flawless & Beauty BB Cream, made in in Korea. The products in Royal Subic are sealed so you can't take a look at what you are getting (nor smell it). But I took a chance. It was $4.45 so I had to really think about it before buying something I didn't know anything about. The consistency of the product is like a balm. You need a foundation brush to apply it so that you will get to control how much product goes on your face. The smell of the balm is very strong, so that is a minus again for me. It has that cheap smell that really annoys me. I guess this is common for Korean or Chinese makeup. When I applied it, it goes on smoothly. you don't need a whole lot of product to cover your face. This is perfect for women with extremely white skin (which I don't have), so my face was really white! I gave it about an hour to set but the color didn't blend with my natural skin color (which happens on some BB Creams). The thing I didn't like most about the product is the smell. Although I know this will look perfect on women who are very fair, the smell really is very strong! Even after an hour, the smell didn't go away. The other makeup that I bought was L'CHEAR Luxurious Shine Powder, made in China. The packaging was really cute! Although, just like the other product, you can't open it to check the smell, texture, or color. The box only had a stamp what shade it was, a #1, #2, or #3. The #3 was the one with the yellow base so this is what I got. As soon as I ripped open the plastic wrapper, I checked right away for the smell. It smelled great! It had a faint sweet smelling smell that goes away when you apply it. I like how the powder has tiny tiny glitter particles that looks almost iridescent. When I applied it, it's really velvety and is translucent. It's not white at all and the finish is matte, but the glitters make you look dewy. The downfall is, after wearing the makeup for about 30 minutes, my face started to itch. Thank goodness I didn't get red or get any rashes, so I immediately washed it off. I asked my cousin China to try it on as well, and on her it looked fantastic! She didn't get any reaction on the powder and according to her, after wearing it the whole day, her makeup still looked fresh. PLUS! It looks great in pictures which she loves!
