I hate pimples! I really don't like waking up to one and when I do, I have to resist the temptation of popping it or drying it out with toothpaste!
The worst thing you can do to pimples is popping them or scratching it. Pimples could be either painful or itchy. It can either have an "eye" or just a red bump. The best thing to do is really care for them. They take about 3-4 days to clear, but when they do, the battle isn't over. You have nasty acne scars and marks to deal with.
When you do wake up to a pimple, apply ice on it to reduce the swelling. Wash your face with cold water and use a facial wash that has acne fighting components but at the same time, a mild one. Neutrogena's Pure Mild Facial Cleanser is a very good cleanser for acne-prone skin.
After you have cleansed your skin, apply a moisturizer and top it with a pimple gel on the affected area. Try to avoid wearing makeup for a while and let your skin "breathe". Let the oil release and help your skin heal before you start wearing makeup again.
One of my favorite pimple gels is Garnier's SOS Blemish Clear Pen. This gel helps reduce swelling and it decreases the bump. After a while, the pain and the itchiness goes away. When you apply it, it has a minty feel. It doesn't burn the pimple but it reduces the swelling and eventually evens the skin.
This gel is also a spot eraser so with continuous use, the marks left by your pimple disappears as well.
Another miracle product that works is Lancome's Blanc Expert Spot Eraser. This little tube can last you months even though you use it every day. What's good about this product is that you don't have to worry about whitening your entire face. This product targets only your dark spots where melanin is mostly present.
The consistency is a little runny so you have to be careful about squeezing the tube too much. What I do is that I apply this on my entire face because It doesn't does extreme whitening anyway, and it works real well. Specially on newly healed pimples! I love it!
Garnier Light Complete is a product that target dark spots as well. This product whitens scars from acne and it does its job as well. The consistency is a little bit thick so it's hard to spread. So you have to apply it a little at a time on your spots.
I love the smell! It smells citrusy! I love how bright my face looks when I use this product!
